University of Phoenix Campus Director - DC and Arlington Campuses in Washington, District Of Columbia
The campus leader will direct and oversee the operations for the DC and Arlington Campuses, including academic quality, career services and community development. Analyze areas of growth, profit and opportunity for the organization and maintain accountability for growth or market penetration.
This position is accountable for attaining all campus goals and objectives as set forth by leadership.
Knowledge of the local DC and Arlington market and community is strongly preferred.
Coordinates, executes and refines market strategy for the campus market.
Provides market intelligence for growth / stabilization of the campus; analyzes areas of opportunity for the organization. Implements plans as appropriate and maintains accountability for growth or market penetration set forth by upper management, including additional sources of revenue such as day rentals, testing services, and other opportunities.
Ensures operational efficiency (i.e., expense management, group size, space utilization); oversees the campus operations budget in conjunction with the established budgets.
Participates and may lead or facilitate campus task forces or councils. Directs the planning, developing, and implementation of necessary policies and procedures, activities, and programs to maximize the effectiveness of campus activities.
Represents the organization in key relationships with the business, government, and community within the campus market.
Develop and enhance brand awareness within the community through activities such as student and alumni engagement; community college relationships; workforce solutions partnerships; etc.
Actively assess, manage, and enhance academic quality through the classroom experience, interaction, and delivery.
Monitor academic reports; oversee faculty effectiveness.
Create academic visibility in the market; ensure faculty is involved in community and networking engagements.
Determine, oversee and implement local career achievement services and outcomes.
Facilitates open communication between the University and its services to the total market population for the purpose of impacting student retention.
Review key student trends, including NPS surveys.
Connect current students, market alumni and community partners through community and career focused events.
Directs personnel actions and staff/faculty development as needed.
Work with leadership to determine staffing needs and proper development opportunities for staff
A Master’s degree is required.
Minimum of 10 years progressively responsible management experience in an education, service, operations, or related business environment.
Knowledge of the local DC market, community, and of the military is STRONGLY preferred.
Experience working at a college or university in a leadership position is preferred.
Experience in managing budgets, goals, objectives, activities, policies and procedures
Previous experience working in a highly-complex work environment with multiple reporting lines
Experience in analyzing market information related to student / customer demographics and creating market focused strategies
Ability to communicate effectively with key state and regional officials, as well as internal stakeholder groups
Must be results oriented and able to manage multiple processes and activities simultaneously
Some travel may be required (5-10%)
